We bring the different communities and peoples within the AONB together to make big things happen for people and wildlife.
People naturally make communities that surround their locations, employment and interests. There are a whole host of people who live and work in, and visit and enjoy, the landscapes of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). As such, there are myriad communities within the area, from those that exist within towns and villages, to those that are focused on age (such as young people) or hobby (such as walkers). There are also communities that extend far beyond the AONB boundary, whether online or connected through a common interest, such as the conservation of our wildlife and heritage.
The Chilterns Conservation Board (CCB) reaches out to a wide range of people and communities to inspire them to help protect the precious and historic landscapes that they all sit within.
The chalk that runs beneath our feet is the common thread that binds us all together.
